A MONDAY MOMENT IN ROTARY
FOR DISTRICT 6580
SEPTEMBER 3, 2007

Dear 6580 Rotarians:
In September we have the opportunity to focus on NEW GENERATIONS which includes Youth Exchange Students (YES), Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholars, and Group Study Exchange Team – all part of the feeder system into Rotary. This is the month to plan to conduct youth related activities and programs. Consider inviting a Rotary speaker to share one of our Rotary sponsored youth activities. Now is the time to promote applications for RYLA and GSE Team members.
~ New District Chairs: Dan DeBard, D.DeBard@verizon.net, from Terre Haute has been selected to be the Rotary GSE Team Leader to Parana , Brazil . Ken Harker, Brown County , is the GSE Team Leader Alternate. The selection committee had a strong group of Rotarians from which to select. Thank you to all who applied and to the clubs for your endorsements. Larry Lockhart, larry@organflorist.com, from Vincennes has agreed to become our webmaster beginning October 1. We owe a huge thank you to Paul Bippen who led the GSE Team to Japan last year and to Troy McCormick who has been our webmaster for over three years. Volunteer responsibilities very well done!!
