Ambassadorial Scholars District 6580

Additional information to be provided shortly on the Ambassadorial Scholars Program.

District Grant Program For Rotary Clubs

There are two basic types of grants that apply to most clubs; Matching Grants and District Simplified Grants (DSG). Matching grants support the international humanitarian projects of Rotarians and the awards are from $5,000 to $25,000. DSG are designated primarily for the local humanitarian projects of the clubs (though, as you will see later, they can be used for international projects) and the maximum award is generally $1,000. There is a third type of matching grant; Completive Matching Grants which are awards of $25,001 to $150,000 for very large projects.

Group Study Exchange

This program provides travel grants for a team of four or five non-Rotarian business and professional persons to travel between paired districts in different countries. Teams spend four to six weeks abroad, where they study their host country's institutions, economy, and life-styles; develop friendships; and discuss ideas with community leaders. They also observe their own professions as they are practiced in the host country. For questions contact Dan DeBard (GSE Chairperson 2008-2009) at 812-877-4634 (office) for additional GSE information.
